Bike Trails

Belair National Park has some incredible bike tracks ranging in difficulty from easy to more challenging tracks for the more adventurous. With the most beautiful views stretching to the coast and of the park itself, the abundance of wildlife and the well designed courses; this place truly offers a great experience for bikers. There are enough tracks to easily spend a week here with a different track to keep you challenged every day! We are also a central hub to countless well known tracks in the Adelaide Hills. Walking Trails

There are many defined and marked walking/hiking trails that provide opportunities to explore the park’s wonderful flora and fauna. The Wood Duck Walk is a simple 15 minute loop around Playford Lake suitable for less mobile patrons and provides on-site information about the sites common water birds. The Waterfall Hike is an example of a more demanding trail being 6.5 km (approx three hours). Go echidna spotting or find a bandicoot, there is always something different to see. Dawn or dusk walks bring a beautiful perspective into natures playground.

Koala Spotting

Belair National Park is one of the greatest places to find Koalas in South Australia. They are everywhere in this park! So keep your eyes peeled and bring a camera.

Kangaroo Spotting

Alike koalas, kangaroos are abundant in Belair National Park. As you walk along the trails be sure to search for these beautiful creatures. This national park provides a great space for these animals to roam freely and safely.

Dog Walking

Dog walking in Belair National Park is allowed as long as it is on a lead. This is a great space to get out and about, get some fresh air and to let the dog go for a long walk in the bush.

Old Government House

Old Government House also lies within the heart of the National Park. This magnificent residence was at one stage the governor’s summer residence and was used off and on from the 1860’s. This is an excellent example of Victorian-style architecture and a great opportunity to inspect a stately home and the surrounding gardens. Most of the flora species within the park consist of South Australian Native Plant and Trees. Open Sundays & Public holidays 1pm – 4pm. A gold coin donation is appreciated.

Adventure Playground

A short ten minute walk from the Belair National Park Holiday Park is the Adventure Playground. Designed with an old-school feel with modern play spaces this playground is surrounded in lush trees and greenery, making it a safe and exciting place for kids to play and explore.

Plant Nursery

The State Flora Nursery (Belair Park Nursery) is located near Old Government House within the park at a site that has an historical association with government forestry and reafforestation initiatives. A wide rage of native Australian plants, garden products, books, pottery, land care items and Australian gifts are for sale. Planted garden beds and professional advice are other features of this unique nursery.

Tennis Courts

Be sure to bring some tennis rackets and have a game of tennis. But remember, it is a South Australian National Park so you might have a few spectatures such as emus, kangaroos and koalas!

Local Restaurants

There is local shopping including supermarkets, cafes and restaurants all within 3km from our Holiday Park. Unley Road is also a close drive from the national park and offers a wide range on eateries. Two brilliant local restaurants are Windy Point and Lenzerheide which offer great food in fantastic settings.
